Exponents Scavenger Hunt

This activity gets students out of their seats. Students get to work at their own pace and think it's a game. They are highly motivated to complete a question since they can self-check and get immediate feedback.

Students will complete a problem and then look for the answer on top of a different card. Students can complete this in pairs, small groups, or individually. Can be used whole group or in a center. If you laminate the cards, they will stand up like tents on the desks.

Solving Word Problems With Percents Scavenger Hunt

This is a great game to play to practice solving word problems with percents. Students do not need a calculator to solve the problems.

Every time I tell my students we are doing a math scavenger hunt they cheer. They love being able to work at their own pace. They are motivated to work through the problems because they feel that it is a game.

The teacher puts  10 question cards around the room. Once they get the answer, they will know which card to go to next. Each card also has a letter. At the end, they unscramble the letters to spell a secret word. This activity is motivating and gets students out of their seats.

The cards are made to be printed front to back on colored paper. Once you fold the cards, the answer to one card shows on the front and the question to another is inside the card. It is similar to the I have, who has, but students can work at their own pace.

Adding Fractions With Unlike Denominators Scavenger Hunt

This activity is motivating and gets students out of their seats.

This is a great game to play to practice adding fractions with unlike denominators. The teacher puts the 10 question cards around the room.

Decimal Pemdas Scavenger Hunt

This is a great game to play to practice all four operations with decimals. It has basic order of operations without exponents.
